Introduction
Designed and developed by Messerschmitt starting as Projekt 1065 in 1939, the Me 262 became the world's first operational jet-powered fighter aircraft. It first entered service in 1944, and although its revolutionary design meant it was faster than almost all prop-driven fighter aircraft of the time, its impact was limited due to the relatively low number produced overall and its late entry into the war. Now, the E-flite® UMX™ Me 262 Twin 30mm EDF makes it possible for more RC pilots to own and fly a replica of this history-making aircraft. It's one of the most unique ultra-micro models to date, and because of the twin 3S compatible power systems, delivers class-leading performance!

The Messerschmitt Me 262 is one of the most unique and recognizable aircraft of WWII. As the world's first-ever jet-powered fighter aircraft, it was faster than all the prop-driven fighters it typically went up against. The E-flite® UMX™ Me 262 Twin 30mm EDF is the most affordable and convenient model of the ground-breaking aircraft yet! It arrives completely factory-assembled and ready to fly right out of the box including a premium fully painted with decal finish. It's equipped with similar and optimized power systems from the popular UMX A-10 that are compatible with 3S 600-850mAh batteries to meet modern-day EDF performance expectations. It's also equipped with expertly-tuned AS3X and optional-use SAFE Select technologies, plus provides real-time battery voltage and other telemetry information to compatible transmitters. And because of its ultra-micro size, the UMX Me 262 can be flown in more places and smaller spaces than most other EDF models, including at many large parks and sports fields! The fixed landing gear with a steerable nosewheel makes it easy to taxi, take off from, and land on smooth surfaces. Or, leave the landing gear off for more speed and vertical performance with easy hand launches - thanks to the automatic Hand Launch Assist mode - over and landings on grass while utilizing the protective reinforcements on the bottom of the nacelles. Skill Level 2 – Some Experience
Required
Skill Level 2 aircraft, like this one, are suitable for RC pilots who already have some experience and the skills to assemble, set up and/or fly similar class models. And although this is the easiest to fly Me 262 model yet, it's not a suitable first-ever RC aircraft for new pilots or first-ever EDF (Electric Ducted Fan) jet model for intermediate to experienced RC pilots. You should have the experience and skills necessary to successfully fly simpler EDF models like the E-flite Habu SS (Super Sport) 50mm or 70mm before attempting to fly the UMX Me 262 Twin 30mm EDF.
Are you new to flying RC (Radio Controlled) aircraft? If you are, the UMX Me 262 is not a suitable first-ever RC model and we recommend learning to fly with one of our purpose-built trainer aircraft such as the E-flite Habu STS (Smart Trainer with SAFE) 70mm EDF (www.horizonhobby.cc/HabuSTSRTF). It's equipped with exclusive and innovative SAFE technology that makes it possible for almost anyone to learn to fly successfully! The Ready-To-Fly (RTF) Basic version includes almost everything needed to fly (except for a compatible LiPo battery and charger that are sold separately, or together in a money-saving PowerStage bundle) and is a perfect choice if you're a new RC pilot.

Telemetry Capable
The UMX Me 262 is equipped with a control unit/flight controller that includes an ESC and Spektrum receiver that provides real-time flight battery voltage and other telemetry to compatible Spektrum AirWare equipped transmitters (including the DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/G3 and 8 G2, the DX9, NX6 to 20, the iX12 to 20, and others) while you fly.

Higher Performance
The factory-installed twin brushless power systems feature 30mm fans with powerful 3S-compatible outrunner motors. This power system setup delivers higher performance than the 28mm fans and 2S-compatible motors installed in previous UMX EDF models to offer unmatched speed and vertical performance, plus longer than average EDF flight times, when using the recommended 600-850mAh 30+C LiPo batteries with an IC2 connector.

Construction with composite-reinforced EPS material delivers a lightweight yet durable airframe that's also easily repairable with odorless/foam-safe CA, Foam 2 Foam, epoxy, and other foam-friendly adhesives.
