It was first teased at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show as a concept car but finally unveiled as a final product at the Tokyo Auto Salon in April 2025. The 2025 Prelude marks the sixth-generation iteration and makes a comeback after the fifth generation was last sold in 2001. The first-generation PRELUDE came out in 1978 which made an impression among commuters looking for a compact, sporty and above all else, fuel-efficient car.
